  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  5. Stir in the crushed candy canes.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until set. Remove from oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  8. Allow to cool on wire racks.
