  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
  6. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven.
  8. While cookies are cooling, melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
  9. Dip the cooled cookies halfway in the melted chocolate and place on wax paper to set.
