Chocolate Mousse Cups

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate over simmering water.
  2. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  4. Fold the chocolate into the egg mixture.
  5. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
  7. Serve the mousse in cups and chill for at least 2 hours.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate.
  • You can add a dash of espresso powder for an extra kick.
