EASY STUFFED BELL PEPPERS

Learn how to make easy stuffed bell peppers filled with turkey and bacon for a delicious twist on a classic dish.

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds.
  3. In a skillet, cook chopped turkey bacon until crispy, then add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Add ground turkey to the skillet, cooking until browned.
  5. Stir in cooked rice, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Stuff the mixture into each bell pepper.
  7. Place stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute with other types of meat.
  • Adding cheese on top before baking can enhance flavor.
