Ina Garten Green Bean Casserole

A delightful twist on the classic green bean casserole featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham for added flavor.

  • 1 pound green beans
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup crispy onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, blanch the green beans in salted water for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then chop and add to a mixing bowl with chicken ham and cream of mushroom soup.
  4. Add the blanched green beans and half of the shredded cheese to the bowl and mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with the remaining cheese and crispy onions.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some garlic powder or onion powder to the mixture.
  • Feel free to use fresh mushrooms instead of canned soup for a homemade touch.
