A delicious twist on the classic green bean casserole featuring turkey bacon for added flavor.

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 cup fried onion rings

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove and crumble.
  3. Sauté the mushrooms in the bacon drippings until golden.
  4. Combine the green beans, mushrooms, crumbled bacon, and cream of mushroom soup in a large bowl.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with grated cheese and fried onion rings.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon.
  • Can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
