Lasagna with Cottage Cheese

A delicious twist on traditional lasagna featuring cottage cheese and turkey bacon, perfect for a hearty meal.

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer three noodles over the sauce, then add half of the cottage cheese mixture, half of the turkey bacon, and more marinara sauce.
  7. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and remaining marinara sauce on top.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
  9. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or zucchini for extra nutrition.
  • This lasagna can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
