Oven Baked Jalapeño Poppers

  • 12 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
  • 8 strips turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, crumbled turkey bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For spicier poppers, leave some seeds in.
  • These can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
