- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add in flour till a dough forms. Knead for 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and spread raspberries over it. Roll into a loaf shape.
- Place in loaf pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For a sweeter loaf, add more sugar to the dough.
- Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar.
