  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add in flour till a dough forms. Knead for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough and spread raspberries over it. Roll into a loaf shape.
  6. Place in loaf pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a sweeter loaf, add more sugar to the dough.
  • Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar.
