Shepherd's Pie Soup

A delicious and heartwarming recipe combining traditional shepherd’s pie flavors in a comforting soup form.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, diced potatoes, peas and carrots, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
