Smothered Chicken

A delicious and easy recipe for smothered chicken featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 2 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the turkey bacon and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chicken thighs, season with salt and pepper, and brown on both sides.
  4. Add the chopped onion and garlic and cook until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return the turkey bacon to the skillet, cover, and cook for 25 minutes.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add some cayenne pepper.
  • Serve with rice or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
