Sweet & Tangy Very Berry Pie Bars

A delightful dessert combining sweet and tart flavors in a convenient bar.

  • 2 cups mixed berries
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, then mix in the dry ingredients.
  4. Fold in the berries gently.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool, then cut into bars and serve.
